Wild Country - Ropeman 4

The fourth generation of Wild Country's long-running Ropeman series, the Ropeman 4 is a compact micro-ascender built for climbers who want a versatile rope clamp light enough to live permanently on the harness.

A redesigned grooved side plate closure prevents the plate from opening laterally during ascent and stops rope from catching between the side plate and cam - an awaited improvement over earlier generations. The carabiner slot is now fully separated from the camming mechanism, making it easier to use with larger or thicker lockers, and the oversized cylinder hole allows full rotation of the device around the carabiner once clipped. The wide ridged aluminium cam is gentler on rope sheaths than the sharper toothed steel cam of the Ropeman 2, making it a better choice where rope condition is a concern.

Compatible with ropes from 8-13mm, as well as flat and tubular webbing slings from 10-15mm, although sling use falls outside EN 567 and should be treated with care (Always check official manual and conformity). Works with HMS and oval carabiners. The plastic-sheathed stainless steel wire releases the spring-loaded cam for descent or repositioning.

Suitable for ascending, self-belay, hauling, emergency rescue, and lanyard adjustment.
