Scarpa - Instinct S (2022)
The Instinct Slipper is the latest addition to the Instinct range and will have a familiar fit and feel to anyone who already wears instincts and sizes up much the same as the VS/VSR or the lace.
The Instinct S is perhaps a touch more flexible than the other shoes in the range and the classic rubber toe patch of the instinct has been replaced by a more drago-like covering of more or less the whole toe-box area with the M50 rubber (the softest rubber Scarpa use) clearly marking this shoe out as being more aimed at comp style climbing and indoor and outdoor bouldering.
Having said that this is still a versatile shoe that should function accross a variety of disciplines and rock types for anyone looking for a tight fitting performance shoe.The slipper design and slightly narrower heel cup will appeal to those who want something that can be taken on and off quickly and to those who have struggled to get the heel of the standard Instinct tight enough.
