Petzl - Ergonomic
New for 2018 is the Petzl Ergonomic.
A departure from the previous generations Ergo design, the Ergonomic has a shallow shaft angle, similar if not the same as the Nomic, where they differ however is in the lower handle which is even more offset than the Nomic. This deeper dropped handle allows for a much more comfortable hanging position for mixed or steep ice. Whilst altering the swing of the tools early reviews state that it is different not detrimental.
Coming equipped with Petzl's Drytooling picks, with serrations top and bottom, which ever way you torque or hook the tool you'll have a good secure placement.
Definitely a cutting edge tool and a lot more versatile than the Ergo it surreptitiously replaces.
