The Nemo Switchback is an ultralight sleeping pad designed for reliable two-season use. With a 2 cm thickness and an R-value of 2.0, it offers plenty of cushioning and warmth within an ultralight pack size.
Designed to offer more comfort than is usually expected from a foam mat, the Switchback combines dual-density axiotomic foam with an efficient hexagonal nesting pattern to create a supportive pad with more space for taller and wider nodes.
The taller nodes create additional space for uncompressed sleeping bag insulation, trapping more warmth around your body, making more use of the insulation you are already carrying. In addition to this, Nemo has incorporated a metallised thermal layer that helps reflect heat back towards the body.
It's suited for use as a standalone pad for ultralight durability and reliability, or paired with another pad for extra insulation and comfort in more extreme cold conditions.
With no valves to fail and no risk of punctures, it is a reliable choice for backpacking, mountaineering and general camping.
