Mammut - Mammut Assist Belay Resistor

The Mammut Assist Belay Resistor helps a lighter belayer catch and lower a heavier lead climber by increasing rope friction at the first quickdraw. Its patented cam mechanism activates only when needed, allowing the rope to run smoothly during normal climbing so dynamic belaying remains possible. During a fall or while lowering, the cam engages to reduce the force transferred to the belayer, helping them stay grounded.

The standard quickdraw setup accommodates a weight difference of up to 35 kg. For larger differences, Boost Mode attaches the Assist directly to the first bolt with a locking carabiner, allowing it to engage sooner and increasing the maximum weight difference to 45 kg.
