The 8.0 Alpine Classic is a versatile half rope perfect for wandering multi-pitch trad routes.
It is part of Mammut's overhauled rope range and is BLUESIGN certified demonstrating its strong eco-credentials, the Alpine Classic is based on the popular Mammut 8mm Phoneix.
The skinny diameter and light weight combine to make them lovely ropes to handle and climb with. Though care should be taken to use an appropriate belay device, most common grooved models work well e.g. Petzl Reverso, Black Diamond ATC, DMM Pivot.
This classic version is untreated for great value. If you want it to stand up to abuse better or need a rope for wet or icy environments consider the DRY version which has the core and sheath treated to massively improve durability and prevent water ingress.

UK shipping is free for orders over £40 and are shipped using Royal Mail, which takes 2-4 days.
Orders of over £85 are shipped either by Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DHL Express free of charge. The service we use will vary depending on the value and weight of the order. Tracked 24 is a 1-2 day service and DHL Express is a next working day service.
Various shipping upgrades are available at the checkout. We have kept the fees for these as small as possible.
Orders for in stock products, placed before 2.30pm on a weekday are shipped the same day that the order is received.
