This huge guide (704 pages!) is the definitive guide to what is surely one of the UK's best bouldering areas. There has been a huge amount of development of the bouldering in North Wales in recent years by a passionate local scene and that is reflected in the comprehensive nature of this guide that is well laid out, informative, and, easy to use.
The guide also features some inspiring photography of famous and not so famous boulders, better topos and approch notes than previous guides, and lists of available grades at each crag as well as good descriptions and advice on conditions and aspects of the boulders.
The author, Simon Panton, made the decision for this to be the first volume of two with this guide (volume 1) being the guide to the mountain crags and the second (yet to be published) the guide to the coastal crags.
