Edelrid - Beast Auto II

The BEAST AUTO is a tried-and-tested, technically sophisticated 12-point crampon designed for demanding mixed and ice climbing as well as technical mountaineering. Featuring an extremely lightweight yet robust 3-D construction, it includes hardened steel front points with patented grinding for exceptional grip on steep ice. Its intelligent interchangeable system allows quick, single-bolt conversion from dual to mono point, while additional short front points reduce leverage on rock and mixed terrain. The special geometry and positioning of the points ensure stable support on all ice types, including cauliflower and chandelier formations. Durable anti-bot plates, a resistant spring steel bridge, and high-quality wear-resistant steel complete its rugged build.

The crampon offers outstanding modularity with extended toe and heel units and tool-free size and binding adjustments. It features a stepless automatic binding for fully crampon-compatible mountain and ski boots, plus an included front soft binding for quick conversion to a semi-automatic setup for partially compatible boots. An innovative safety strap buckle with quick-release function, optional rear safety backup, and low ice buildup ensures reliable handling—even with gloves. Compatible with all EDELRID binding types and parts, it fits approximately EU sizes 34–45 with the short spring steel bridge, or EU 42–50 with the optional long bridge.
