Black Diamond - Vision MIPS Helmet

A new contender in the premium helmets market. Amazingly durable and comfortable whilst remaining lightweight and effotlessly cool in typical BD fashion. This version also incoorporates MIPS technology (Multi Directional Impact System) to provide even more protection during impact. 
The main body is made from durable EPP foam (the softer type) with a harder EPS puck on top, helping to protect from rock fall. 
Within the helmet, you can find the MIPS in the form of a sliding layer which will reduce force and trauma head area during impact. Having been used to great affect in cycling and snow sports, MIPS technology is relatively new to the climbing and is a massive step forward in safety.
Although not quite as light as BD's long time premium helmet, the Vapor, it is far more durable and punches well above its weight.
