Each draw uses a snag-free HotForge keylock carabiner on the bolt end and a lightweight HotWire wiregate carabiner on the rope end. This gives a useful mix of clean bolt clipping and easy rope clipping, with the coloured lower carabiner to avoid mixing the ends.

The HotForge Hybrid sits in a sensible middle ground between lightweight trad draws and heavier sport-specific quickdraws. The dogbone is wide enough to grab when working a route, the keylock top carabiner helps when cleaning bolts, and the wiregate lower carabiner gives smooth rope handling without adding much weight. Its main trade-off is that it is not the lightest option for long alpine approaches or very weight-conscious trad racks, but for everyday sport climbing and cragging, it offers a solid balance of handling, durability and value.
