Black Diamond - Gridlock Carabiner
Racing into the 21st Century with one of the few real carabiner innovations of recent times, the Black Diamond Magnetron uses - unsuprisingly - magnets to lock the gate. Two firm-action coloured clips depress to release the gate, then when you let go the magnets snap the carabiner shut securely.
Coupled with the extension of the gate to position the carabiner in optimum position for belaying they really are one of the safest belay carabiners on the market.
