DMM - Bulldog Ice Anchor
Bulldog's are winter protection for frozen turf or hammering desperately into cracks when nothing else will do!
If your pick felt good in it, chances are your bulldog will, as to whether they will hold much of a fall that's a whole different can of worms.

I was a bit sceptical about this at first, but I bought this before my first encounter with frozen turf on a trip to Pen-Y-Fan during a recent cold snap. Being used to long screws in fat plastic water ice, at first glance the bulldog did not inspire much confidence. However, when I found myself out of rope, severely run-out, and with nothing but a loose hex for a belay, I whacked this into the most solid looking bit of turf I could see, and shouted to my second not fall off. Fortunately he didn't. After my mate topped out, it took me about 20 minutes to get this thing out of the turf. Probably the most bomber winter belay I'd ever had... The beauty of the bulldog is that you can hammer both it and your axe and get a two-piece belay, rather than rely on a hammered axe and a placed hammer. I won't be going back to Pen-Y-Fan without it.
