DMM - Nylon Sling 16mm Open
DMM nylon slings are classic, 16mm slings.
With greater wear resistance than dyneema and a more reassuring width they're more popular for rigging uses and for those of an age used to tying their own slings! To those that remember, once upon a time slings were measured in feet and inches, the length was the amount of tape needed to tie them. Now measured in centimetres we refer to the "end to end" length.
4ft sling = 60cm sling (over the shoulder)
8ft sling = 120cm sling (double shoulder length)

Bought for sport trip with friends as thought would be useful, really good product, nice feel and worked well. Dick's service was brilliant, fast shipping and generally a great experience
Just bought some DMM nylon slings from Dick's Climbing (16mm). After watching DMM's videos I decided to stay away from Dyneema. They're great slings and they are not bulky like you might expect. I shall be buying some more. The service from Dick's Climbing was excellent, I ordered them online in the afternoon and they arrived next morning. The service was very personal. Good prices, good deals. I will definitely be buying from them again.
I bought these slings for building anchors. They're great and do the job perfectly. They're also not much heavier than a dyneema sling.
I purchased the 16mm nylon sling 2.4m long and use it mostly for setting up top rope anchors. Its extra length is more than enough for most of the climbs around Eridge East Sussex area, bu it does't not replace a static rope in some cases.
