DMM - Dyneema Sling 8mm
Standard 8mm dyneema slings. Rated to 22kN.
The 60cm version is the "over shoulder length" and the 120cm is the "twice over shoulder length".
Once upon a time slings were measured in feet and the length referred to the amount of tape needed to make them. Now however we measure them in centimetres and refer to the "end to end" length.
4ft sling = 60cm sling
8ft sling = 120cm sling

Great, lightweight piece of kit for building sling draws for winter climbing, or as a standalone anchor on small rock spikes.
I got the 400cm one mainly for making anchors and for huge boulders. I have since realised that it is better and easier to use the rope to do this most of the time. It is good however if I want to take a novice multi pitching and want to make a secure anchor that is independent from the rope or if the pitch is extremely long and might not have enough rope to make the anchor with.
These slings made me a little nervous at first because of the width, but I soon got used to them and they're noticeably lighter than their wider equivalents and at 22kN are plenty strong enough to hold any fall I plan on doing any time soon! Great for rigging but personally i prefer to use a wider sling around any tree anchors to avoid damage to the tree.
It's a sling, it's light, it's strong. Perfect. Can't actually believe how light theses are for their strength why buy anything else.
