Mammut - 9.5mm Infinity - DRY
Mammut Infinity DRY ropes are the perfect mix of high performance, slick ropes with top of the range treatment.
Available in two options Standard and Duodess, the pricier Duodess option has a clever change in weave pattern at the halfway mark making it easy to identify which half of the rope you are on and reducing the risk of lowering or abseiling off off the end.

Great rope. Really smooth clipping into quickdraws. I definitely notice a decrease in rope drag when climbing routes that meander across walls when compared to my 10.2mm rope.
Firstly, my faults with this rope are essentially my own issues... I have always wanted this rope but have been waiting for my other one to die. The research I didn't do, however, was that Mammut stopped making their ropes in Switzerland in 2016, and in my personal opinion, this is evident when you open this rope up. It performs nicely, and the sheath is insanely durable for its weight, but the ends of this rope looked like they were cut by a child with a hot swiss army knife. Brutal attention to detail, already fraying and no taping. If you look at how Edelrid or Petzl seal their rope ends and then compare it to how Mammut are letting their ropes leave the new Czech factory, you can blatantly see where the cost cuts are going. If, like me, one of the reasons you wanted this rope was because of 145 years of quality Swiss ropemaking, don't buy it, because that is no longer the case. Still a high performing rope that catches and clips well, but that allure is gone.
Would definitely buy from Dick again. Highly recommend!
The Infinity Dry 9.5mm comes from an excellent background of tough, hard-working, reliable kit. It is the go-to workhorse from the medium-light climbing rope stables.
Excellent rope! Handles really well and appears to be very a durable rope which should last a long time. Fantastic service too, lots of communication during the ordering process and a great price!
